Authorization for individual supervisor to purchase needed supplies
Or order work done in a necessary emergency
The Brandon Township Board of Supervisors has authorized the three township supervisors, each of whom is involved in road and sign maintenance, to purchase needed supplies or order work done when necessity requires, without the express vote of the board.
The authorization is limited to an expenditure of $5,000.00 per order and is to be used only when the calling of a special town meeting is not feasible prior to the supplies needed or work to be done. (Examples might be a breakdown of equipment, washout of a road or the need to have trees removed after a storm).
This authorization applies for the year 2018, January 1 to December 31, and must be renewed annually.
