Election Administration: local, state and national

The Brandon Township Clerk is responsible for the administering of all elections in the precinct of Brandon Township. The town board appoints the head judge and all assisting judges for each election. Brandon Township and the City of Brandon are linked for primary and general elections and use the same voting equipment including the AutoMark and the M-100 Tabulator for primary and general elections. The two precincts use the Brandon City Auditorium as their polling places. Brandon township elections are held in conjunction with the national and state general election date on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of even numbered years. As of January 1, 2013, due to the passage of a ballot question in November of 2012, the clerk and treasurer are now appointed positions.
